Our school trip to Brighton

On Sunday 30th September 2018 we met in front of our school at 1:15 pm. We went by bus through Pilsner, Nurnberg, Frankfurt and Brussel to Calais, France. We boarded a ferry there and travelled to Dover, the UK. We arrived in Dower at around 6 a.m.

We travelled to a nice seaside town called Brighton. We got there at 10 a.m. First, we visited the Royal Pavilion in the centre of Brighton. After a short tour with audio guides, we had two hours of exploring Brighton on our own. Then we went to the Sea Life Center to see various types of fish from around the world. Then we went to see the most popular chalk cliffs in Great Britain – the Seven Sisters. We spent there about two hours walking and taking photographs. In the evening we met our English host families. Our ones were very nice.

The next day started with an English course. The course was divided into three parts. We had a different teacher for every part. Then we went to see Portsmouth. We took a boat trip and saw some Second World War ships – rebuilt into a new fleet of England. After the cruise we squeezed through the HMS Victory´s tight interior and we visited the Battle of Trafalgar Museum. In the late afternoon we returned to our Brighton host families.

The third day in the morning we had another three amazing hours of English lessons and in the afternoon we went to see the Royal Air Force Base, Tang mere. I think this was the best part of the whole trip.

The fourth day just after the last three English lessons we went to see Windsor. After a guided tour through town we returned to Brighton to our host families.

The last day we had to wake up very early, because we wanted to have enough time to see all planned sights in London. We arrived in Greenwich and we took a boat to the centre. We had chance to see The Tower of London, The Tower Bridge, The London Eye, The Trafalgar Square and lots of other well- known sights.

In the evening we travelled back to the Czech Republic, we used Euro-tunnel during the return journey.

We arrived in Prague on Saturday at noon.
